Everyone's body is different when it comes to how it makes the best use of CBD. That's why it takes some experimentation to figure out which form of CBD will work best for you. Here are some things to think about when selecting a product.

Think About How You Want to Feel

The purpose of taking CBD will be to make you feel better in some way, so thinking about how you want to feel and what you are trying to get out of the product. For example, if you are feeling really stressed before you go to work, have anxiety issues, or need help with inflammation, you may want a product that has a high concentration of CBD and no THC. Meanwhile, at another time you may be looking to ease pain and looking to relax in the evening, and want a form of CBD that contains some THC.

Think About How You Want to Consume CBD

There are many different ways to consume CBD, which all have their pros and cons. For example, while smoking CBD is certainly fast-acting, it is not the most discreet way to consume it. On the opposite end of the spectrum, an edible form of CBD is going to be discreet and not noticed by others but will take a long time for it to kick in for you to feel the effects. You should consider what works best for your lifestyle, how fast-acting you want the CBD to be, and how much you care about others noticing that you are using CBD.

Think About the Quality of the CBD

There are many different CBD products out there, and it can be hard to tell the differences between them all. That's why many CBD products are tested in a lab to break down the exact makeup of what you are using. Look for CBD products that have a terpene and cannabinoid profile so that you know exactly what is inside it. This means that the product has been tested and you will know exactly how much CBD and THC are within it.

Think About the Dosage

A small dosage can have no noticeable effect, but a dose that is too high can be overkill for the condition that you want to treat. It's always important to start in small doses initially and slowly increase the dose to see the optimal point of effectiveness. For example, if you are selecting a CBD capsule, it may be easier to pick capsules that have smaller doses of CBD since you can always increase it by taking more capsules.
